Mischelle Maria Joseph

Mischelle Maria Joseph, a student of Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya Thrikkakara Kochi, topped the science stream in the AISSCE exams. Humble by nature, she gave the credit of her success to her parents and teachers. Let’s see how she did it!

What role did your teachers and parents play in your success?

>> My success is entirely dedicated to my parents and teachers. They definitely played a very important role in motivating and supporting me. Without their help, I would not have been able to score well in the AISSCE exams. They guided me in the right direction. The teachers provided sample question papers and conducted model examinations which proved to be very helpful for the CBSE exams. My parents made me feel calm and constantly motivated me.

Well-being is must for success. How did you take care of your physical and mental well-being during the hectic exam season?

>> During the “exam ” month, I stuck onto homemade food. My parents made me feel at ease. They supported me. I spent my free time talking to them which made me calm and relaxed.

Can you share your success mantra in a few words?

>> I followed a timetable and I made it sure to incorporate a few breaks in it.These breaks are necessary to charge up one’s mind and to freshen up for the next session of studies.I stayed away from social media during the “exam” month.

What was your exam game plan? Any study strategies you would like to share with your juniors?

>> Here are some tips I followed:

I made my own notes. You can’t trust your memory,so I made it sure to revise my lessons regularly. My notes helped me in my regular revisions. I practiced physics and mathematics problems regularly. I followed a timetable to complete the entire syllabus in a time frame.

My teachers suggested that we should try out the sample question papers available in the CBSE website. This helped in the timely completion of the main exams.
