School teachers and parents play a pivotal role in every child’s success. What role did they play in your success?
>>    School teachers played a very important role in grooming me and leading me to the position where I am today. My rapport with my teachers was always good. They would take every pain to clear my doubts and helped me in every possible manner they could. The contribution of my parents towards my success story is a lot .They never forced me to do anything, they gave me enough space to make my own time table and follow it completely, and they never questioned me when I faltered. They always displayed their utmost confidence in me and motivated me to do my best.

What is your favourite subject? And why do you like it?
>>    As of now, I enjoy doing all my subjects. With passage of time, I am sure I will be able to identify my potential in a particular subject. Though I was inquisitive about Science but Mathematics thrilled me more. I would attain a certain kind of pleasure in solving all sorts of maths questions, unless and until I would found a solution to the equations, I wouldn’t rest. There should be nothing in Mathematics to cram, it is simple logic and certain formulas which are to be applied to reach to the answer and I enjoy doing every bit of it.

Can you share a few study techniques and tips that you followed?
>>    Mine was a very simple technique which every student should follow. I would try to go into the depth of everything to understand the concept and the structure very well. If I would come across any doubts I wouldn’t rest until I cleared them. I made notes so that the concept can be cleared and revised at the last minute, just at a glance. I would revise again and again and practised lots of numericals, n number of times.

Did you practise any ‘mock tests’? Do you think they’re necessary for excelling in exams?
>>    Yes, of course I practised almost all the sample papers I could get like last ten years question papers so that I could get a clear idea as to what sort of questions can be asked in the examination relating to a particular concept or topic. I absolutely think that they are necessary for excelling in any exam.

Albert Einstein famously said that his curiosity is his real talent. As kids, humans are naturally curious and that is how we pick up skills like walking and talking. But sadly as we grow old, we lose this skill. But an all-rounder like you can surely share some tips on how to remain curious and keep learning new things?
>>    The only tag-line of my life is to never ever give up. It is very much possible that we would not get success in initial stages but instead of giving up, we must try to put in our best efforts and try again and again. If you will not bow the day will certainly come when you will attain rainbow. Had Albert Einstein given up we wouldn’t have tasted his mighty inventions. I also resolutely worked hard without giving up on my follies instead I would brush my basics and skills each and every day not with the aim to gain full marks but to render my best.

I would listen very attentively to all the tips my teachers gave during the classes and made notes. I believe that every word from teachers’ mouth should be a priced possession. They have a lot in store for us.

Paying attention in classroom is one of the most important things a student can do to excel in exams. How do you take active part in your learning process and make the most of your teachers’ teachings?
>>    About 60 percent of our learning is done in the classroom. I would listen very attentively to all the tips my teachers gave during the classes and made notes. I believe that every word from teachers’ mouth should be a priced possession. They have a lot in store for us. The need is just to have undeterred faith in them. My utmost attention has always helped me to overcome most of my doubts. I always went prepared for the class and energetically participated in the discussion. This was the best idea of interacting with other students and learn a lot from their perspective. I am sure this approach will very much help every student in getting replies to all their queries.

As a thinking being, all of us suffer from emotional clutter. And while the physical clutter is easier to get rid of, dealing with emotional clutter can be challenging. Any tips for the same?
>>    The most harmful effect on the youth today is the excessive use of modern technology such as laptop, mobile phone, internet, etc. Undoubtedly they seem to be very interesting but they divert our attention from our main focus. We get so much engrossed in whatever we surf on the screen, making us emotionally weak. We forget this is virtual side and not the real side. I would meditate whenever I felt clogged. I would go out for a walk and play badminton. Sometimes I even like listening music which soothes my tired nerves.

A little stress is a good motivator and acts as a driving force, but a lot of stress is harmful and hampers our performance. How do you ensure that stress does not negatively affect you?
>>    Yes, I definitely believe that a little stress is a good motivator and acts as a driving force. I have always been inspired with the good competition my classmates forced on me. Healthy competition pushes one a little further. Same happened with me as well and I took every setback as a stepping stone, determined not to repeat my mistakes. I would not allow failure or success rule my head.

What was the main driving force behind your success? What kept you motivated and confident throughout the year?
>>    At all times I just kept in mind that I should not feel guilty of not giving my best. I was at least in the race and participating and reaching to the top can be one target but the fruit of success cannot be plucked so easily, it requires bone-wrenching effort, a positive attitude and of course the support from one’s parents and teachers.

I would suggest to be focused in the class, do your own homework and keep revising until you are absolutely clear with the concept. It is very important to be regular and attend all classes. Having faith in yourself will make you climb the ladder of success and make difficult things easy.

Most students forget what they have studied in just a few days. Any tips for improving the memory and ensuring better retain and recall?
>>   Every student has his own stamina, calibre and efficiency. One cannot be judged with the other on the same parameter. One can excel in one field but the other can be tremendous in his own way. I would suggest to be focused in the class, do your own homework and keep revising until you are absolutely clear with the concept. It is very important to be regular and attend all classes. Having faith in yourself will make you climb the ladder of success and make difficult things easy.
