Aastha Bamba – AIR 3

Aastha BambaAastha Bamba, a student of B.C.M. Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, made her school and the city proud by becoming the national topper in CBSE Class 12th board examinations. She grabbed AIR 3 by scoring a perfect 100 in Mass Media, Sociology, and Political Science. And she scored 99 in English and 98 in Economics. When I contacted her to share her success mantras for managing time, combating stress, avoiding distractions and taking care of physical and mental health, here is what she had to share. Let’s read this young Champion’s words of wisdom!

>> To do really well in board exams, it’s really important to manage time. Managing your time doesn’t mean creating absurd timetables that you might not even follow. It simply means dividing your day into segments for both studies and recreations. Self-study and consistency are the keys to every challenge in 12th grade. But at the same time, it’s really important to take care of your physical and mental health. Exercising and avoiding junk food during exams is really imperative. Even your emotional health needs priority which is often ignored. Regular therapy and counseling should be taken if there is too much of stress. Students should have trusted family members, teachers or friends with whom they can share their problems and seek guidance. Mobile phones and social media should be used wisely. The key to avoiding distractions is switching off your phone while studying. Do not deprive yourself of any pleasure but at the same time don’t go berserk. Make wise choices and pursue a hobby to stay happy.
