How did your school and parents help you achieve this feat?

>>  My school has always been a great support and gives me the opportunity to showcase my talent whenever possible. All my teachers have been very helpful in teaching and guiding me to achieve both in academics and extracurriculars. My parents are my friends. They have given me complete freedom, allowed me to pursue my passion, and have always trusted me. They guide me and advise me whenever I need it. I am blessed to have such understanding parents and to be a student of APL Global.

Thanks to our hectic lifestyles, nowadays most people find it hard to prioritise. But your results show that you surely know how to manage your priorities and create a balance in your life. Can you guide others on the same?

>>  Right from my younger days, I’ve had the need to prioritise my various commitments in academics and extracurriculars. It is always good to understand which needs your attention the most at that particular time (based on deadlines too) and prioritise based on that on a day to day basis. I always schedule accordingly to complete my work as planned. Scheduling is very vital to people who perform multiple tasks, as it helps them prioritise and it ultimately leads to completion of all the tasks with excellence.

How did you overcome exam related stress and anxiety? What were your stress busters?

>>  I receive exams with great excitement and exams have never been a stress for me. In fact, I perform better when I am completely excited. I have been taught that even if I don’t perform well in a particular exam there is always a next time, so I am always relaxed during exams. Music helps me to relax and keep calm always, and having frequent conversations and fun with friends helps me become relaxed too.

Good memory is vital for success in exams. How did you ensure that you are able to remember and recall what you have studied?

>>  I always make sure that I am fully present in class while lessons are taught. I do repetitive practice and research at home in various topics to keep myself updated in all my subjects.

Can you share a few study techniques and tips that you followed?

Being attentive when we are in class and taking notes of the important points discussed in class will be useful when we prepare for the exams. Spending time to go over a chapter that is unclear and that which was missed on a particular day, making note of the points that are to be clarified and getting it clarified with the teachers without procrastinating are some study methods I follow.

Any specific things you kept in your mind while giving the exams?

>>  I never allow fear or stress to capture me before or during my exam. One should never fear even if answers don’t strike the mind immediately because I feel fear will hinder the human mind’s thinking and as a result, even the easier questions will become difficult at that point of time. I make sure I finish my paper at least 20 minutes before time so that I recheck my answers a few times to catch any mistakes that I may not have noticed.
